Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques to deliver accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Duties
- Conduct nuclear medicine scans, including PET scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and health of patients during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret scan results and provide comprehensive reports.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient interactions, adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning effectively for optimal imaging results.
- Educate patients about the procedures they will undergo, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Qualifications
- A degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field is required.
- Certification by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ARRT or NMTCB) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to nuclear medicine practices.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with nuclear medicine protocols and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.

Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
