Almased, a global wellness brand, is seeking a licensed nutritionist to join our team as a Nutrition and Quality Assurance Specialist. The Nutrition and Quality Assurance Specialist supports both customer health education and product quality operations. This dual-role position provides nutrition guidance to customers, assists with product education materials, and helps manage product testing and regulatory compliance to ensure the highest standards are met. The ideal candidate is passionate about nutrition, detail-oriented, and eager to develop expertise across quality assurance and regulatory functions. Full training will be provided. This is a hybrid role which will be in office 2- 3 days and work from home the rest of the week.
In this role, you will provide expert guidance and support to customers and prospects regarding the use of Almased protein powder and its nutritional benefits. You will be responsible for answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and offering personalized nutrition advice to help customers achieve their health and weight management goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries about Almased products
- Provide expert nutritional guidance and advice tailored to individual customer needs
- Assist customers with usage instructions considering a customer's various health conditions, allergies and dietary needs
- Address concerns related to Almased protein powder
- Manage the creation and ongoing updates of website content, applying a strong foundation in nutritional science
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Almased products, nutrition research, and our 32 peer-reviewed scientific studies
- Document customer interactions, contact info, and maintain accurate records in our Hubspot CRM system
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving customer service processes
- Assist the marketing team in various marketing activities during low call cycles including web site content edits, social media, Facebook community facilitation
- Attend and represent the company at industry trade shows and professional conferences (travel opportunities available).
- Assist with continuing education initiatives for healthcare professionals, including supporting CPEU approval processes.
- Support the Nutrition Manager in content research, regulatory documentation, and new product development projects.
- Help create educational content for customer communications, including FAQs, newsletters, and product materials.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
- Help manage monthly lot release testing by coordinating with manufacturers and laboratories.
- Assist in overseeing third-party testing for microbial content, heavy metals, nutrition panels, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.
- Analyze and verify test results against internal specifications and regulatory guidelines (training provided).
- Assist with investigating any testing deviations and supporting corrective action processes.
- Support maintaining regulatory certifications, product specifications, and compliance records.
- Help update and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality control and compliance activities.
