Position Summary:
The Simulation/Clinical Coordinator for the Hybrid BSN Program plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality clinical and simulation learning experiences for nursing students. This individual is responsible for coordinating clinical placements, managing simulation labs, facilitating clinical and simulation-based instruction, and supporting faculty and students in meeting program and licensure requirements.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on clinical nursing experience with expertise in simulation technology and nursing education. They will ensure seamless integration of simulation and clinical components into the hybrid curriculum and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Coordination
- Assist to Identify, secure, and maintain clinical placement sites for students in coordination with the BSN Program Scheduler, Program Director and clinical partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the nursing program and clinical agencies.
- Ensure all students and faculty meet clinical compliance requirements (e.g., immunizations, background checks, health screenings).
- Schedule student rotations and preceptors in alignment with course objectives and clinical site availability.
- Monitor student performance and provide support or remediation as needed.
Simulation Lab Oversight
- Design, plan, implement, and evaluate high- and low-fidelity simulation experiences aligned with course and program outcomes.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot simulation equipment, manikins, and related technology.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate simulation into the curriculum as a clinical learning modality.
- Ensure simulation scenarios reflect current best practices and evidence-based nursing care.
Instructional Support
- Assist in the development and delivery of clinical and simulation instruction, including pre-briefings and debriefings.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment in the simulation and lab facilities.
- Provide training and support to faculty and staff in the effective use of simulation tools and clinical teaching strategies.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Collect and analyze data on clinical and simulation outcomes for program improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards related to clinical and simulation learning.
- Participate in audits, evaluations, and site visits as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current, unencumbered RN Multistate license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Ability to work weekends and evenings
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in nursing education, including simulation or clinical instruction.
- Proficiency with simulation technology and lab equipment.
Preferred:
- Certification in healthcare simulation (e.g., CHSE) or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
- Experience working in hybrid or online nursing programs.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and clinical tracking software.

Work Environment:
- Hybrid role with regular on-site responsibilities for lab, simulation, and clinical coordination.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support student scheduling and clinical rotations.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 30 lbs) and work in a simulation lab setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
