Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs high complexity molecular testing with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols
- Responsibilities include nucleic acid extraction, PCR, real-time PCR, FISH testing
- Performs quality control, calibration, maintenance and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
Experience
- Nucleic acid extraction
- PCR and real-time PCR
- Fluorescence in situ hybridization
- Capillary electrophoresis
Desired Qualifications:
- BS or MS in biological sciences or related field is required
- MT (ASCP) or MB (ASCP) is required
- 2-3 years experience in molecular diagnostics
- Must be organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills
