Job Summary
Ultinat is a startup company based in Ithaca, NY. We are specialized in microencapsulation technology with biodegradable materials for environmental protection. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic company team. In this role, you will support R & D and scale-up manufacturing, contributing to real-world applications of technology that are beneficial to the health of people and planet. The ideal candidate will have sense of responsibility on their daily work, possess strong laboratory skills, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high standards of research integrity and compliance. Duties
- Assist in designing and executing experiments in a research lab.
- Perform research and manufacturing with developed procedures.
- Assist in the process of scale-up manufacturing for customers
- Manage lab supplies and support the maintenance of the equipment in the lab.
- Review experimental documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to research protocols
- Analyze data using scientific methods. Generate reports to communicate data and results.
Requirements
- Background knowledge or experience in the following areas: bio-based materials, polymer science, nanomaterials, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field; research laboratory experience is preferred
- Familiar with basic lab operations and rules, familiar with lab working environment.
- Good hands-on skills, attention to details, can apply logical thinking in experiments, strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented.
- Good data analysis capability. Ability in performing calculations for experiments and manufacturing.
- Good understanding of research processes, regulations, compliance and protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as under guidance in a fast-paced environment
- Respectful to coworkers, willing to learn new knowledge and skills.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
