Summary/Objective
We are seeking a self-motivated, efficient, and detail-oriented Lab Support Technician to join our team. The Lab Support Technician plays a crucial role in maximizing the productivity of extraction technicians by managing all supporting tasks that keep workflows smooth, equipment stocked, and spaces organized. This position ensures that technicians can focus on production by maintaining supplies, cleanliness, and operational flow throughout the lab and warehouse.
General Responsibilities
- Empty spent extraction bags and hydro socks regularly.
- Dump blue bins in accordance with waste management and safety procedures.
- Maintain freezer organization to prevent tech confusion and ensure smooth inventory rotation.
- Routinely reorganize warehouse launch pads and staging areas (socks, dry socks, frozen socks) to optimize efficiency between warehouse and lab use.
- Identify and address bottlenecks proactively to improve workflow and reduce downtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ethanol Extraction Support
- Stock the Helmer refrigerator every 1.5 hours.
- Fill freezers at the beginning and end of each shift to support grinding workflows.
- Clean and maintain extraction bags to ensure readiness for use.
- Assist with distillation support tasks including cleaning jars, prepping boxes, and washing dishes.
- Cross-training in extraction processes.
Hydrocarbon Extraction Support
- Stock the Helmer refrigerator every 2 hours, or immediately after ethanol Helmer stocking.
- Coordinate staging needs with leads and managers.
- Support staging of hydrocarbon materials and equipment for upcoming runs.
- Clean hydrocarbon socks and dishes promptly after use.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read, write and basic arithmetic
- Ability to operate computers and relevant computer software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Must be 21 year of age or older
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift or move product weighing between 5-50 lbs continuously.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in cold/freezing environment.
Three Shifts needed, Monday-Friday:
4:00am-12:30pm
12:00pm-8:30pm
8:00pm-4:30am
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
