Main Purpose of Job:
Working closely with the Lab Manager, you will be expected to assist with the various tasks and duties assigned to you. With an eye to detail, you will be responsible for the laboratory experiments and ensuring the proper maintenance and organization of lab equipment and supplies.
Main Duties:
Sanitize, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
Log and document activities.
Organize and label specimens for study.
Perform tasks assigned by Lab Manager & General Manager
Produce accurate and reliable data.
Follow methodologies in carrying out routine tasks.
Adhere to processes, policies, and health/safety guidelines.
Provide administrative assistance.
Principal Performance:
Delivery of consistent accurate paperwork.
Strict adherence to GLP’s and SOP’s.
Clear written communications with respect to all laboratory activities.
Physical requirements:
This Laboratory Technician role can be a physically demanding job, with long hours spent standing. Our facility typically operates during regular business hours, however, there may be a need for overtime depending on workload or in the case of an audit.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
