About the position
We are seeking motivated Environmental Engineers at both entry and experienced levels to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting environmental data, performing engineering and scientific analysis, and developing reports and designs for projects. This role focuses on site characterization and remediation, requiring collaboration with senior engineers and technical staff.
Duties include:
· Field Investigations & Site Characterization: Conduct and lead environmental assessments and subsurface explorations, including test borings, geoprobes, and monitoring well construction.
· Field Operations: Perform soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling in accordance with industry standards.
· Design & Documentation: Prepare design documents, engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and engineers' estimates.
· Technical Reporting: Generate and draft technical reports, figures, and tables.
· Project Oversight: Perform on-site monitoring and engineering observation of contractor activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications, and document site remediation. Assist with or manage UST (Underground Storage Tank) removal and remediation for public and private clients.
· Proposal Support: Support the development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating for project proposals.
· Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company and client health and safety protocols, including participation in daily tailgate safety meetings.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
· Professional Background: 0 to 10+ years of related experience; we are hiring for roles ranging from entry-level to those requiring 5-10 years in environmental engineering or geosciences.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
· Certification: Must have E.I.T., F.E., or P.E. license, or be willing to apply for initial professional certification. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is strongly preferred.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard software like AutoCAD; aptitude for working with sampling equipment.
· Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., traverse unstable or sloping landscapes, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; must pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $80.00 per hour
