AxisOne (axisone.ai) is our AI-powered R&D platform that helps biotech and pharma teams accelerate study design, protocol development, and lab execution. The AxisOne Expert Panel is a curated network of scientists and industry professionals who provide high-leverage input on real client projects , on demand, from anywhere.
The Role
This is a flexible, on-demand engagement ,not a full-time or part-time job. When a relevant project arises (e.g., protocol review, methodology validation, feasibility input, technical Q&A), we reach out with the scope, expected time cap, and turnaround.
Typical requests have a 24–48 hour turnaround. Some weeks or months may require no involvement at all; others may include one or two short engagements. You decide which requests to accept.
Compensation is set at onboarding based on your tier and experience. iProcess handles client matching, scoping, billing, and payment processing through the AxisOne platform — you focus on the science.
What You Will Do
- Reviewing NGS study design (WGS, WES, RNA-seq, single-cell, methylation)
- Validating bioinformatics pipelines, variant calling, and QC thresholds
- Advising on sequencing platform selection (Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore) and depth
- Critiquing differential expression, GWAS, and population genomics analyses
- Providing technical Q&A on reference databases, annotation, and reproducibility
Compensation & Tiers
The AxisOne Expert Panel uses a per-engagement pay model with tiered scope and compensation. Experts are assigned to one of three tiers at onboarding based on credentials, experience, and domain standing. Final compensation for each engagement is set at onboarding and varies with tier, scope, and the time cap of the request.
Reviewer
Scope: ~30 min cap. Structured comments and recommendation. Suited for PhDs early-to-mid career.
Typical pay per engagement: $60–$90
Senior Expert
Scope: ~1–2 hr cap. Deeper methodological critique. Senior PhDs with 10+ years of experience.
Typical pay per engagement: $150–$420
Key Opinion Leader (KOL)
Scope: ~1–3 hr cap. Full per-section review. Recognized field leaders with strong publication record and industry standing.
Typical pay per engagement: $300–$840
All payments are processed by iProcess Global Research Inc. after each completed engagement. No invoicing required. Net 15 standard.
Who We Are Looking For
- PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in sequencing-based research or clinical genomics
- Deep working knowledge of NGS workflows and standard bioinformatics tooling (e.g., GATK, STAR, Seurat)
- Strong written communication — able to deliver concise, actionable feedback within 24–48 hours
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted workflows (light scripting helpful but not required)
