Movement Specialist (Kinesiology / Exercise Physiology Focus)
Job Summary:
The Movement Specialist is responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based movement interventions as part of an integrative patient care program. This role is designed for candidates with a strong academic foundation in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology, with a focus on improving functional capacity, physical resilience, and overall health outcomes. The position requires applying scientific principles of human movement, rehabilitation, and exercise programming for patients with complex health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop personalized movement programs based on clinical assessment
- Provide individualized movement sessions at least twice weekly, tailored to each patient’s medical condition and functional ability
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, muscle physiology, and movement science to ensure safe and effective interventions
- Educate patients on proper movement techniques, injury prevention, and long-term wellness strategies
- Educate patients on the science and research regarding movement and exercise and it impact on treatment outcomes and restoring health
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or Science required
- Demonstrated experience applying exercise physiology principles in a clinical or rehabilitation setting
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, biomechanics, and physiological responses to exercise
- Experience working with special populations (e.g., chronic illness, neurological conditions, aging populations) strongly preferred
- Ability to assess, motivate, and guide patients through structured movement programs
Preferred Experience:
- Background as an Exercise Physiologist, Movement Specialist, or Rehabilitation Professional
- Experience designing and implementing evidence-based movement programs in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of conditions such as sarcopenia, mobility limitations, or chronic disease management

- Ability to translate scientific principles into practical, patient-centered care
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
