Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our educational team at Orange County High as a full-time Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and promote student understanding of scientific concepts.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for science.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Assess student performance through regular evaluations, assignments, and tests, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic performance and behavior.
- Organize and supervise laboratory experiments and hands-on activities that enhance students' understanding of scientific principles.
- Stay current with advancements in science education and integrate relevant topics into the curriculum.
- Participate in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities to support the overall mission of the school.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field;
- Valid state teaching certification in Science or willing to obtain
- Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and ability to effectively communicate them to students.
- Experience in teaching middle or high school students preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.

Pay: $56,442.00 - $78,551.00 per year
