Position Summary:
- Provide programming, data processing, and analytical support to meet operational objectives of research programs
- Support dissemination and analysis of complex research data, including multi-omics, clinical, phenotype, and wearable/sensor datasets
Roles & Responsibilities:
Programming & Data Support:
- Provide programming and troubleshooting support for research data dissemination
- Process raw data including quality control, alignment, quantification, and normalization
- Develop analysis-ready datasets for downstream research
- Support integration of lab-generated data with public and controlled-access datasets
Data Analysis & Bioinformatics:
- Perform computational analyses using bioinformatics and statistical methods
- Analyze multi-omics, wearable, and longitudinal datasets
- Conduct genome-wide DNA and protein sequence analysis
- Apply epidemiological and statistical approaches to research data
Pipeline Development & Systems Support:
- Develop, test, and document reproducible analysis pipelines and workflows
- Maintain and support laboratory databases, software tools, and computing resources
- Assist in development and maintenance of Oracle databases for genomics/proteomics projects
- Support development and maintenance of web tools and websites
- Set up and maintain laboratory computing systems and networks
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate with lab staff and researchers on study design, analysis, and interpretation
- Present findings in lab meetings and prepare reports, tables, figures, and presentations
- Maintain clear documentation of methods, analyses, and results
- Contribute to manuscripts, scientific publications, and presentations
Additional Support:
- Provide computational support to laboratory members
- Respond to inquiries regarding lab web resources
- Maintain data organization, tracking, harmonization, and secure sharing practices
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree (required)
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and large-scale data processing
- Ability to manage and analyze complex biological datasets.
