Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technologist to join our innovative Clinical testing laboratory team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of laboratory procedures, managing specimen processing, and Performing Molecular infectious disease testing by Q PCR (using Thermo platform, Quant 12 k studio) clinical testing with precision and expertise. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of patient reports and patient care, fostering advancements in Laboratory diagnostic medicine. Duties
- Perform complex laboratory techniques including PCR (polymerase chain reaction) to analyze patient biological samples.
- Conduct RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and specimen collection/processing with meticulous attention to detail to ensure sample integrity.
- Manage laboratory information systems (LIMS) for accurate data entry, sample tracking, and record keeping.
- Execute laboratory procedures related to physiology knowledge such as vital signs measurement and anatomy understanding during specimen handling.
- Assist in the setup and execution of assays for clinical testing,CLIA CAP regulatory compliance, and diagnostic testing under strict CLIA regulatory standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and uphold high standards of laboratory management and documentation.
Experience
- Proven clinical or Clinical laboratory experience working with patient specimens and conducting laboratory techniques such as PCR, and Molecular assays.
- Demonstrated expertise in data management, analysis skills, and proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Experience in clinical specimen processing within hospital or clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, physiology, anatomy, and Molecular diagnostics practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory management practices including inventory control, quality assurance processes, and adherence to safety standards.
- Prior involvement in clinical testing laboratories focusing on molecular infectious disease testing by PCR or method validation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a thorough understanding of laboratory techniques and medical terminology to facilitate seamless collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
