Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive foot and ankle care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various podiatric conditions. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing advanced medical technologies, and ensuring exceptional patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings. The Podiatrist will also engage in clinical research and maintain compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient foot and ankle health
- Develop individualized treatment plans for conditions such as bunions, heel pain, diabetic foot ulcers, and sports injuries
- Perform surgical procedures including suturing, wound care, and minor surgeries when necessary
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as medical imaging (CT, radiology) and EMR/EHR systems to document patient data accurately
- Manage perioperative care for surgical patients and coordinate discharge planning
- Administer treatments like botulinum toxin injections, IV infusions, and other advanced therapies
- Provide patient education on foot health, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with specialists in endocrinology, orthopedics, vascular interventional radiology, and other disciplines for comprehensive patient management
- Participate in clinical research to advance podiatric practices and improve patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures
Requirements
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure to practice podiatry
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Proficiency in diagnostic radiology, medical imaging, and surgical techniques including suturing and wound care
- Knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD) for accurate documentation and billing
- Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, emergency medicine, and post-operative care environments
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and clinical evaluation methods
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across various specialties including orthopedics, endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, and more
- Commitment to patient-centered care with excellent communication skills

Pay: $55,861.84 - $67,274.47 per year
