Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 7th Grade Math Teacher & a 5th grade Math Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year to inspire and challenge students in their mathematical journey. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum standards for 5th or 7th grade mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and introductory calculus.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student understanding of complex concepts such as differential equations, discrete math, and molecular biology where applicable.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, standardized tests, projects, and formative assessments; adjust instruction accordingly to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive classroom environment by managing behavior effectively and promoting respectful interactions among students.
- Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to support students struggling with math concepts or coursework.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and integrating science topics like biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, and dissection into cross-disciplinary lessons.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to classroom management, special education strategies, research laboratory techniques, and educational administration practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience teaching middle school mathematics with demonstrated success in engaging students at various skill levels.
- Strong knowledge of key mathematical areas including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and proof techniques.
- Experience working with diverse student populations within private or public school settings; familiarity with Montessori or special education approaches is a plus.
- Proven ability to incorporate learning technology and instructional design principles into effective lesson plans.
- Background in scientific research or laboratory experience related to biology or chemistry enhances interdisciplinary teaching capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, mentoring students, and engaging parents or guardians.

Pay: $49,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
