The Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute strives to prevent and treat the world's most prevalent diseases through cell revitalization and transplantation.
Regenerative medicine is a new and developing field that aims to restore function in diseased or aged tissues through either revitalizing existing cells or transplanting new ones. Our research team is turning stem cells into therapies for treating a multitude of prevalent diseases and conditions. We're also exploring how to prevent diseases, and we're extending our knowledge to students in Los Angeles and researchers around the world. About the Role
As a Research Associate II member, you will be working closely with the Principal Investigator, and will perform routine and increasingly complex laboratory tasks and procedures and develops technical proficiency in one or more areas relevant to research projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeps accurate and detailed records of experiments and results
- Assists in identifying and troubleshooting of unexpected results
- Orders laboratory supplies and supports laboratory operations
- Maintains lab equipment and related records and may coordinate use of lab equipment
- Assists in the operation of specialized equipment, as the need arises
- Assists in preparation of data for publication and/or presentation at scholarly meetings
- Observes and follows safety standards and procedures
- Orients research laboratory assistants or lower level research associates and undergraduate student researchers on day-today lab operations and routine procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science related field required
Experience and Skills:
- One year of research laboratory experience is required.
- Experience with routine laboratory procedures and experimental protocols.
- Must possess digital literacy to include, but not limited to, Excel and Word.
