Instructor Reports to: Program Dean.
Responsibilities:
- Start each lab punctually at the time the instructional period is scheduled to begin and dismiss each lab at the time the instructional period is scheduled to end.
- Evaluate student progress through imaging lab competencies.
- Prepare and deliver lab demonstration to students enrolled in the DMS program.
- Attend Instructor’s Meetings that are scheduled by the Program Dean.
- Alert Program Dean of any potential problems and/or concerns with students.
- Partner with the lead instructor and Program Dean in supporting students and preceptors in the Lab environment.
- Facilitate student achievement through mentor-ship in the DMS Lab.
- Contribute in a positive way to maintain a “team environment".
- Promote professionalism and coach students.
- Provide feedback for continuous program improvement.
- The ultrasound lab instructor is responsible for the general ultrasound in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
- Evaluation of students and their Scanning progress.
- Evaluate student progress through Lab Assignments and Lab competencies.
- Conduct Imaging lab sessions
Qualifications:
The Ultrasound instructor must possess, at a minimum the following:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Required Minimum Certification: RDMS (AB) (OBGYN)
- Proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision of sonography students
- Minimum of 3- 5 years imaging in a clinical environment
- Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Schedule:
Thursdays: 8:30AM to 11:30AM
Saturdays: 8:00AM to 2:00PM
