Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Laboratory Technician to join our environmental and water quality assurance team in Pecos, TX. This role involves conducting comprehensive laboratory analyses to ensure water treatment processes meet regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.
Responsibilities
- Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products)
- Basic wet chemistry and use of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrument equipment
- Receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples
- Assumes technical responsibilities including operating various laboratory and office equipment as necessary to meet scheduling demands
- Makes personnel shifts when necessary to accommodate fluctuating workloads
- Provides guidance to employees regarding pulling optimal samples from raw materials
- Checks and transfers data as necessary and takes steps to correct possibly inaccurate data prior to processing
- Conducts routine and random facility tours to maintain safety and proper regulations
- Maintains telephone communication with various agencies and individuals concerning status of samples
- Works closely with research & development team to ensure accuracy of samples
Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
TRAVEL: 5%
OTHER:
- Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Prior experience using ICP equipment

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
