Genetics laboratory at New Hope Fertility Center (NHFC) was established in 2019 and specializes in pioneering a number of breakthroughs in the preimplantation genetics screening and combining cutting-edge molecular technologies with a patient-centered mission to help families achieve healthy pregnancies.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Genomic Laboratory Technologist to join our clinical genomics team. In this role, you will perform high-complexity molecular assays — including NGS based PGT-A — contributing directly to patient outcomes in a science-driven environment. Essential Functions:
- Perform clinical laboratory testing using PCR, NGS on embryo biopsies for preimplantation genetics testing (PGT-A).
- Receive, accession, and track patient samples in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); document and escalate non-conformances to the supervisor and laboratory director.
- Execute quality control validation, reagent lot verification, instrument function checks, preventive maintenance, and calibrations; maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, document corrective actions, and communicate findings to supervisory staff in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for QC metrics for PGT-A, and other molecular assay runs.
- Support new assay development, validation studies, and implementation of emerging molecular methods.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of reagents and supplies; assist with ordering and vendor coordination.
- Respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers regarding sample status and test information.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with PCR, and other molecular laboratory techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, and commitment to data integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with aseptic technique and general laboratory safety practices.
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a high-volume, time-sensitive clinical setting.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) in a clinical laboratory.
- Familiarity with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A) workflows.
- Prior experience in a reproductive genetics, clinical genomics, or fertility laboratory setting.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
