Description
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Transfusion Medicine, you will be integral to our patient care team, undertaking the following duties:
- Conduct patient transfusion testing and handle immunohematology problem work-ups.
- Perform computer data entry and retrieval tasks.
- Execute quality control testing and engage in quality assurance activities.
- Provide essential transfusion support for a diverse range of patients, including those undergoing trauma and transplant procedures at UCLA Medical Center.
- Record and review test results for accuracy and completeness while maintaining meticulous lab records.
- Assist fellow patient care team members with inquiries regarding test results and blood product availability.
Salary Range: $55.98 - $74.59/hour
In addition to a competitive salary range, this position is also eligible for shift differentials and bonus pay.
